BirdLife Northern NSW in the news

BirdLife Northern NSW and its Sub branch Northern Rivers held a well attended and successful  KBA (Key Biodiversity Areas) workshop in Urunga on the weekend of the 4th February, Bellingen Shire mayor, Dominic King, opened the event, and National Parks and Wildlife ranger Martin Smith gave a keynote address.

Golo Maurer, Stephen Debus, Alan Stuart and Rod Kavanagh worked with participants on becoming a KBA Guardian and the responsibilities of the role. The Northern Star (Lismore-based) and the Bellingen Courier published  articles on the workshops, Birds of a feather, Birdwatchers flock and working to protect our precious national areas.
