Carnaby kite-flyers out and about at EnviroFest 2017

Carnaby kite-flyers out and about at EnviroFest 2017

This recently formed group is raising awareness of the plight of Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo by flying their newly crowd-funded 3m kite at various events and places around the Perth Metro - and beyond - over the coming weeks and months.  They’re all committed to ensuring Carnaby's stay on the radar of our new state government and making sure the new government keeps to their pre-election commitments in revising Perth-Peel’s ‘Green Growth Plan’ for Carnaby's.  Last week saw the new kite’s first official flight at City Beach and this weekend the kite-flyers were out and about at EnviroFest 2017 at Whiteman Park along with our Sales Committee, selling merchandise, talking to people about our work and flying the kite for Carnaby’s.  More information about the campaign can be found here: https://chuffed.org/project/fly-a-kite-for-carnabys
