Welcome to Warren - Yarra Valley's new Convenor.

Following Glenn Mawson's recent resignation as Convenor of our Yarra Valley branch, I have now taken on this role. My name is Warren Cousins and I am a 67 year old who retired 6 years ago after a working career as an accountant. My wife is Brenda and we have two daughters and one grandson. We recently moved to Lilydale from where I started doing the regular outings that this branch organises. My other interests include playing competitive bridge, regular walking plus babysitting duties. I consider myself as an "Intermediate” level birder only, with lots to learn about our club and birding activities generally, but intend to give this job my best efforts. I hope to meet many more of you over the coming 12 months.

While you’re here, check out Yarra Valleys September newsletter, of particular interest, see pg 5 article on Light pollution and how a future proposal to light up Lilydale lake in winter months will affect birds and wildlife in Yarra valley.
