Act for birds - Community Forum - Hobart

On Monday night along the historic waterfront of Hobart, 50 people came out to hear more on how nature laws are failing Swift Parrots.  Matt Webb, from the Australian National University, started the night with an informative discussion on his research of Swift Parrots over the past 10 years.  Webb highlighted the challenges Swift Parrots face when “expert scientific advice is routinely ignored” and the logging of key breeding habitat continues.

Audience members discussed the need to keep the issue front and centre with enthusiastic voices speaking up for Swift Parrots.

Next stop next Wednesday night - Toowoomba.
