Act for birds - Community Forum - Adelaide
Last night, BirdLife Australia and Birds SA held their first joint event in order to talk about a critical issue – nature laws are failing the birds of the Coorong.
With the Murray Darling Basin in ever-less-reliable hands and the Fairy Terns of the Coorong consequently starving, 90 concerned citizens came to hear David Paton discuss the dangers of states acting as both proponent and adjudicator on river management.
To save the Coorong, Paton insists we must turn our apathy into action. Experienced campaigners in the audience shared tips for convincing local representatives to listen to and meet with voters.
