Welcome Back Shorebirds at Toondah Harbour Sept 21

The Act for Birds campaign team and local advocates for Toondah Harbour are coming together on this day to celebrate the incredible feat of our migratory shorebirds, and to continue to campaign to protect Toondah Harbour in Moreton Bay QLD.

Come and paint a shorebird and add it to a flock in the sand…

Meet zoologist turned pilot, Amellia Formby. Milly is preparing to fly a microlight around Australia in 2021 to raise some serious awareness for migratory shorebirds – the world’s most endangered group of bird species. Milly joins BirdLife Southern Queensland members Judith Hoyle and Rob Clemens who will tell us more about shorebirds.

The event is on 21st September at GJ Walter Park at Toondah Harbour from 9am - 12pm.

To RSVP - check out the website here.

The Act for Birds campaign team present this event alongside local partners, Redlands 2030, Queensland Wader Studies Group, and our local branch Southern Qld and Redlands
